Maybe it’s time I play on a higher difficulty but I sure do enjoy this kind of game more often than not.
Sports games are an odd sort in my opinion.
Due to the nature of ever-changing rosters they require yearly updates but more often than not you end up with mildly tweaked graphics, new names and the same game you had the year (or several years) before.
In my youth I would ignore this fact and get the yearly releases for my favorite sports (namely the Maddens or other variants of NFL games that haven’t existed since EA grabbed exclusivity) but as an adult this leads to me buying or playing these games once every couple of years.
I have not touched a MLB game in four, maybe five, years and I remember the stat tracking, controls and presentation to be awful so it was with some trepidation that I checked out MLB 2k12.
So far I have not been disappointed but there have been a few hiccups.
Aside from the few small errors in design this appears to be a much better designed game than the last one I played and as such I can’t help but recommend it if you are a baseball fan. Just be prepared for some old frustrations as well as some new pains as well.
Preordered Hitman: Absolution today while I still have the means to do so.
Damn game doesn’t come out for months but I figure its best to pay for it now while I can and wait on it to get here in months.

an accurate review of call of duty: modern warfare 3
Trolling level: Over 9,000!
While we would agree that being pissed off at MW3 is the right emotion to have but two things stick out:
1: The lame emblems were very similar to the ones available in MW2 and Treyarch’s decision to let you make your own emblem in BLOPs was one of the best decisions ever made. Which leads us to point 2
2: IW’s decision (not Treyarch like he screams) to revert away from the awesome custom emblems back to the lame drug jokes and such was one of many, many annoying things about the last iteration of the “great” CoD series.
At any rate we were amused by this kid’s attempt at humor since only one of us bothered to by MW3 and neither of us have touched it in ages.

Probably my new favorite opening cinematic in a video game.
Watching this for the first time I immediately fell in love with the world I was about to play in.
Probably one of my favorite pieces in the entirely of The Witcher 2….I didn’t realize that the game came with the soundtrack but since I love to listen to mostly instrumental pieces while writing or brainstorming I love to pop it in the xbox, slap on my headphones and listen to this game’s soundtrack while working.
This track in particular has a good driving beat for a variety of scenarios.
